What can Vegans Eat? Basically, anything that didn’t come from an animal. But what does that mean? Just salads?

Well, yes, it does include vegetables, so salads are a big part of a vegan or raw food diet. But it also includes fruit, grains, pasta, beans, and nuts and seeds.

Top 25 Vegan Grocery List:

  1. Tempeh, Tofu (extra-firm and silken),  Seitan
  2. Milk: Soy, Nut (almond), Rice or Hemp
  3. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  4. Sprouted Grain Bread
  5. Nutritional Yeast
  6. Sweetener, such as Agave Syrup
  7. Vinegar: rice vinegar, red wine
  8. Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes
  9. Fruit in season (buy a variety of fresh fruit, such as grapefruit, oranges, lemon, lime, melons, apples, bananas, papaya, berries) – both fresh and frozen (for smoothies)
  10. Fresh vegetables: Buy a wide variety of fresh vegetables, such as leafy Greens (arugula, spinach, watercress), tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, avocado, beans, peppers (red, orange, yellow and green), cabbage, snow-peas, bean sprouts, onions

When grocery shopping, Keep in mind the four foods groups of the vegan diet: vegetables, fruits, grains, and legumes. It is always a good idea to balance your diet and eat some of each food groups on a regular basis.
